In what is probably one of the most under-appreciated locations in all of India is the south western coast of Kerala and its amazing beaches that run up and down this skinny province. The majority of this area’s tourists come domestically due to its lush geographical location and varied demographics/cultures.

Picture luxurious house boats, where much of your time is spent falling asleep with a view of coconut palm fringed beaches as your chef in house chef cooks an amazing traditional Keralan dinner for you! And after watching Bourdain’s recent episode of this amazing place, I’m a little more enticed to try travelling a country as tricky as India. It’s broken the common perception of the hustle and bustle of India with such cities as Delhi and Mumbai and places that contrastingly with the unexpected relaxation of Kerala. A definite place to list down if you haven’t already placed any plans for travel next year.
